The famous First Monday Trade Days, the largest flea market in the United States, actually occurs on the Thursday through Sunday before the first Monday of every month in Canton, Texas. Thousands of people descend on Canton for First Monday Trade Days each month, inflating the town’s modest population of just over 5,000 to more than 100,000 people. They come to buy and sell everything from antiques to electronics, jewelry to furniture, collectibles to quilts, and much more.

With that many visitors—plus over 5,000 vendors spread across 400 acres—there’s bound to be a lot of garbage to clear up when Monday comes.
